I am a communications professional who happens to enjoy photography. While not my primary communications skill, or one that I use professionally on a regular basis, I do enjoy the opportunity to get out with a camera and experiment. I decided to create this site after several people encouraged me to do so as a way to share my favorite photos. I also share them on my social profiles, but images here can be viewed full width on your computer.

I learned photography on a very old camera before I was a teenager. This was back in the 35mm film days. The first camera I used you had to look down through the top in order to frame your image and use an external light meter to determine your exposure.

When I was in my early teens I saved up money to purchase a 35mm SLR camera…around $60 if I remember correctly. It was a Minolta SR-T 101 with a standard lens. That was my camera for many years.

Now, of course, digital SLR’s are everywhere and reasonably affordable.
